Production of protein feedstuff from residue of yam diosgenin by solid-state fermentation
|
Abstract:
The Cadida atilis and Aspergillus niger were used on the solid-state fermentation of the residue of yam diosgenin to produce protein feedstuff. The effect of inoculation quantity,temperature,solid-liquid ratio, time and ventilation on the fermentation was investigated.Basing on single strain fermentation,co-fermentation by Cadida atilis and Aspergillus niger were also examined. The results showed that the efficiency of co-fermentation was higher than that of single strain. The protein content of fermented product increased to 13.98% ultimately under the following conditions: residual yam diosgenin of 25 g,urea of 0.53 g,KH2PO4 of 0.05 g,K2HPO4 of 0.05 g,MgSO4 of 0.05 g,NaCl of 0.05 g,CaCl2 of 0.01 g,inoculation quantity of 14%,the solid-liquid ratio of 2∶1,temperature of 30℃.
