Cultivation of aerobic granule sludge and its application in treatment of monosodium glutamate wastewater
|
Abstract:
Using anaerobic granular sludge as the vicinal sludge, after 35 days operation, aerobic granular sludge was formed in sequencing batch reactor. This SBR system showed a very stable organic carbon and ammonium removal performance. The removal rate for organic carbon and ammonium could reach more than 95% and 99%,respectively.This systerm was applied to monosodium glutamate wastewater treatment.Under the conditions of organic volume rate of 2.4 kg/(m3·d) and ammonia volume rate of 0.24 kg/(m3·d),the COD,NH+4-N and TN removal efficiencies could reach more than 90%,99% and 85%,respectively.After treat monosodium glutamate wastewater, the sludge particle size reduced from 0.8~2.5 mm to 0.6~1.8 mm,the granule structure was more strength.
