Preparation of polyaluminium sulfate from waste aluminum and study of flocculation performance
|
Abstract:
The treatment and utilization of industrial wastes was studied centering on resource recovering. The disposal aluminum from a metal material factory was selected as an example. The polyaluminium sulfate was made through optimizing the dissolve conditions and polymerization processes. The flocculating results showed that polyaluminum sulfate (PAS) had a better performance on the removal rate of turbidity, color and COD for treating simulated sewage and high-concentration organic wastewater. Aluminum scrap can be reused and its disposal expense can be saved by this process. It is an applied technology for reuse of aluminum scrap.
