Sludge reduction effect of Aeolosoma hemprichi

The sludge reduction by predation of Aeolosoma hemprichi as nutrients was studied.The effects of MLSS,temperature,aeration etc.on the sludge reduction were investigated.The experimental results showed that sludge reduction rate by predation of Aeolosoma hemprichi increased with the increasing of MLSS and temperature.The higher MLSS was,the faster sludge reduction rate was.The sludge reduction rate increased when Aeolosoma hemprichi density change rate increased.The aeration also affected the sludge reduction rate by Aeolosoma hemprichi which decreased significantly during batch aeration(12 h aeration,12 h no aeration).In aerobic digestion of the sludge,predation of Aeolosoma hemprichi played the key role to accelerate sludge reduction rate.
