Fast start-up and denitrified principle analysis of ANAMMOX in ASBR
|
Abstract:
With the influent water distribution based on the municipal sewage, the fast start-up and denitrification performance of ANAMMOX reaction in ASBR was studied. The experimental conditions were as follows: the temperature of(35±1)℃,HRT of 24 hours, influent pH of 7.2~7.5,influent NH+4-N and NO-2-N concentrations of both 40~160 mg/L,TN volumetric load of 0.08~0.34 kg TN/(m3·d).Inoculating the mixture of aerobic short-cut nitrification sludge and anaerobic ammonium oxidation sludge with the proportion of 2∶ 1,the ANAMMOX reaction was successfully started-up in 49 days and realized a stable operation. The experimental results show that at the stable state the average NH+4-N、NO-2-N removal rates were 96% and 98%,respectively;the ratio of NH+4-N、NO-2-N removal and NO-3-N formation was 1∶ 1.05∶ 0.29,which was very close to the theoretical value. After been started-up,the reactor’s effluent pH value was higher than influent, the average TN removal rate was 79.7%.The synergistic effect of denitrifying and ANAMMOX realized part of COD removal;the sludge changed from flocculent dark-brown to granular red-brown,the dominant flora bacteria was mostly spherical with a funnel-shaped gap,it had the typical characteristic of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria.
