Latest progress in catalysts for the catalytic combustion of diesel soot particulates
|
Abstract:
Soot particulate emitted from diesel engine exhaust has led to serious atmospheric pollution and it must be purified or treated. It is necessary to apply highly active catalysts during the catalytic combustion of diesel soot particulate at lower temperatures. In view of the catalytic after-treatment technique for the treatment method of diesel soot particulate, the latest research progress in major types of catalysts for diesel soot combustion (noble metal catalysts, alkali metal catalysts, simple metal oxide catalysts, multiple-component mixed oxide catalysts, complex oxide catalysts with fixed structure) were summarized, and some tentative suggestions for the main problems in this research area and potential application prospects were also put forward.
