Study on source of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and its behavior in drinking water treatment process in a city of north China
|
Abstract:
Water samples were collected from the water supply systems of an industrial city of north China.Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) residues were assessed by solid phase extraction combined with GC/MS analysis. The results showed that although the PAH concentrations are relative higher than other cities, they do not exceed the relative limit of urban water supply standards(CJ/T206-2005).The nearer reservoir is polluted by the PAHs from combustion and becomes the main pollution source. The total removal efficiency for PAHs of conventional oagulate-sand filtration treatment process is 55.9%.
