Study on leachate treated by Fenton oxidation and poly (silicon/aluminum/ferric /boron) complex flocculant
|
Abstract:
By applying orthogonal design, Fenton oxidation and poly (silicon/aluminum/ferric/boron) complex(PSAFB) flocculant were used to treat leachate produced during compressing municipal domestic refuse, and the treatment effects and conditions were investigated. Preliminary results show the optimum synthesis condition, that is the molar ratio of aluminum to silicon being 1/2, the molar ratio of ferric to silicon being 1/2 and the molar ratio of boron to silicon being 1/6. The experiment with Fenton shows that the effects of three factors on the removal efficiency of COD are in the following decreasing order: dosage of H2O2, pH value and dosage of FeSO4.Under the optimum conditions, the removal rates of turbidity, COD and BOD5 reach 95.2%, 84.2% and 81.5% respectively.
