Optical Design of Laser Beam Expanding Telescope

Abstract:
The principle of laser beam expasion is presented and the expanding rule of a Guass beam through a telescope system is explained.After the characteristics of several different laser beam expanding telescope systems are analyzed,the Cassegrain system is selected to meet the design requirement of an intensive pulsed laser transmitter system.The design result has shown that this optical design can not only meet the requirement of collimation,but also has a tunability for the beam width at a certain distance.
