Oil and gas geochemical exploration in the northern South China Sea——A case study of methane concentration
|
Abstract:
We measured the concentrations of methane in seawaters at diiferent sampling points in the northern South China Sea, and found that there were seven locations with unusually high concentrations of methane. Some of these locations had proved to be the sites of reservoirs, indicating information of seawater methane concentration may provide important guidance for future marine oil and gas exploration.
