SPECIATION OF METHYLMERCURY IN WATER FROM JIYUN RIVER
|
Abstract:
The speciation of methylmercury in water sample from Jiyun River contaminated with mercury was studied using a chemical equilibrium model involving 72 complexes and 25 precipitates under two redox conditions. The concentrations of 9 metal ions and 10 ligands in water from the river and the stability constants determined for fulvic acid-methylmercury complexes were collected and IECWDI program was used for the calculation. The effects of salinity, pH and pE on the speciation of methylmercury were also studied.
