IDENTIFICATION OF POLLUTANT SOURCES OF AEROSOL IN XIGU AREA, LANZHOU
兰州西固地区气溶胶污染源的鉴别

The concentrations of thirteen elements were determined by X-ray fluorescence analysis for aerosol samples collected from Xigu area, Lanzhou during winter time. The data was divided into two subsets: those for fine fraction and those for coarse fraction. The two separate subsets of data were analysed using principal factor analysis and target transformation factor analysis techniques. Six sources of fine fraction and four sources of coarse fraction have been identified. Of those, fly ash is the major pollutant source in the area.
