Study on distribution of UV light radiant energy in heterogeneous photocatalytic reactor
|
Abstract:
The distribution of UV light radiant energy in heterogeneous photocatalytic reactor is studied by using fiber-optic and raster-spectrometer. The experimental results showed that the distribution of UV light radiant energy is not even distributed among the axial and radial directions of the reactor. It was the strongest at the middle part of the reactor than other parts in axial direction, and reduced gradually in radial direction. The photocatalyst could considerably affect distribution of UV light radiant energy due to its absorption and obstruction function. Whereas, microporous aerating affected only slightly the distribution of UV light radiant energy. The model of attenuation could be expressed by an exponential equation.
