ELECTRON SPIN RESONANCE OF AND CELL DNA DAMAGE BY AIR DUST IN LANZHOU
|
Abstract:
Both the air dust itself from Lanzhou and the dust extract by a mixture of benzene, hexane and isopropanol (7:2:1) contain electron spin resonance signals, which are partly due to the presence of transit metal ion Mn and are probably partly due to the contrib ution of a free radical. The extract of the dust can damage cell DNA templet, revealing that there are some mutants or carcinogens in the air dust.
