Validation and application of MODIS remote aerosol information in Beijing
北京地区MODIS卫星遥感气溶胶资料的检验与应用

Variation of aerosol optical depth(AOD,550?nm)in Beijing during January,2001 to November,2002 was analyzed using MODIS Level|2 information issued by NASA and ground|based observation using sun|photometer at Peking University.The results indicated that AOD retrieved from MODIS has the preciesion that could reflect the large|scale spatial distribution of atmospheric arosol pollution.It provides to be a new tool for better understanding of aerosol emission sources and subsequent aerosol transportation.
