PHOTOCHEMICAL REACTION OF PARTICLE-BOUND1-NITROPYRENE UNDER SIMULATEDATMOSPHERIC CONDITION
|
Abstract:
Potoreaction of particle-bound 1-nitropyrene under simulated atmospheric condition has been studied. When 1-nitropyrene coated on the surface of silica gel was suspended in the stream of N2, O2 or air respectively and exposed to intensive light of xenon lamp, photochemical reaction took place and the result of kinetic study showed it to be of second order The photoreaetion products were identified by off-line HPLC/MS as 1, 6-pyreneruinone, 1, 8-pyrenequinone, trinitrohydroxypyrene, di-nitrohydroxypyrene, 6,6'-dipyrenone etc.The mutagenicity of photoreac-tion products is higher in O2 and air,and lower in N2 than that of the precursor 1-nitropyrene, as detected by the bioassay.
