CHARACTERISTICS OF BOTTOM ASH PRODUCED FROM FBC BOILER
|
Abstract:
Chemical analysis, X-ray energy dispersive spectroscope (EDS) scan electron microscope (SEM), infrared spectroscope, and a number of other analytical methods were applied to study bottom ash produced from boiling-boiler. There are differences between bottom ash produced from FBC (fluidized-bed combusustion) boiler and fly ash generated from coal power boiler in power stations. Compositions of bottm ash on surface are different from in the core. The surface compositions of different ash grains are not all alike. The shapes of the ash grains are not regular. The 28 day compressive strength of bottom ash indicated good volcanic activity. The infrared spectroscope showed the structureal nature of the bottom ash.
