SELECTION AND EVALUATION OF CORROSION AND SCALE INHIBITOR FOR HOT WATER BOILERS

Abstract:
A kind of complex corrosion and scale inhibitor using to hot water boilers was proposed, the mechanism of inhibition and antiscale was discussed, and its inhibition efficiency for corrosion and scale was evaluated. At present work , metal material is 20# boiler steel manufactured by Bao-Gang, Shanghai and corrosion medium is water which is made according to water supplied by No.4 work shop, House Property Company, Dalian Port Office;the complex corrosion and scale inhibitor is made up sodium phosphate (2 mg/L), sodium hydrogen phosphate (1 mg/L), acetoxime (0.09 mg/L) and aqueous ammonia (1.5 mg/L);the inhibition efficiency is higher than 96 %, and the antiscale efficiency is higher than 78%. The experimental results indicate that this compoplex corrosion and scale inhibitor shows high efficiency, practical, and is applicable to the control corrosion and deposit of scales of hot water boilers.
