This paper presents a brief review of the development of Cold Gas Dynamic Spray (CGDS) technology.A comparision of the specific characteristics and advantages of CGDS technology is also made in comparison with various kind of known thermal sprays.Finally,the fields of potential application of CGDS is put forword,such as machine building,aircraft industry, shipbuilding, farming machinery building,motor industry, electronic engineering and instrument making.
