THE INFLUENCE OF In 3+ ON THE NEGATIVE DIFFERENCE EFFECT OF ALUMINIUM
|
Abstract:
The electrochemical behavior of Aluminum in 0.5mol/L NaCl solution was studied by potentiodynamic method and potentiostatic hydrogen gathering measurement. When high hydrogen evolution overpotential metal ion In 3+ was added in the solution , the active potential of aluminum shifted negatively and the negative difference effect (NDE) of aluminum dissolution decreased. The procedure and the influence of In 3+ added on NDE was discussed and verified by EIS .
