Energy-aware Particle Filter for Wireless Sensor Network
|
Abstract:
This paper describes how to reduce the complexity of particle filter in order to make good use of the energy of sensor nodes. First, a structure is proposed for distributed particle filter. Second, how the particle number impacts on the performance of particle filter according to the Large Number Law is studied. Thirdly, based on sensors’ position information and measurement equation, a sensor selection criterion is proposed. Under this criterion, particle filtering is performed in distributed way. Finally, the performance of this algorithm by computer simulations is demonstrated.
