Abstract:

The multiuser scheduling issue in Spatial Division Multiplexing/Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (SDM/OFDMA) wireless communication system is studied. This issue is characterized as three dimensions of time, frequency, and space. A utility based multiuser scheduling algorithms is proposed to both improve the system resource utilization and maximize the user’s utility. The computer simulation results show that the performance of the proposed algorithms is similar to the exhaustive searching algorithm while the complexity is highly reduced.
