THE HIGH-SPEED PHOTOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF ATOMIZING PROCESS OF Fe-Si FERROALLOY
|
Abstract:
Fe -Si ferroalloy is mainly used as additive in steel and nodular cast iron. It may obviously improve comprehensive mechanical tunction ot iron and steel. To meet the new technical demands ot iron and steel enterprises, the alloy products to be sold should be made Into metal powder or particles with less than 2mm in diameter. This new technique, which meal panicles are produced directly by jetting gas trom metal liquid, is one of the important nationwide projects. The high-speed photographic technology is used in this paper to analyse the atomizing process of Fe-Si ferroalloy and the atomization principle of metal droplets are approached. on the basis ot a good many experimental data and analysis of high-speed photographic pictures and the calculating result of the descending velocity ot the droplets at different time dunng the process of high-speed photographing, the theory of dividing the atomizing process into five regions is put forward. Thus the theory of the atomizing process of Fe-Si ferroalloy is reecognized very well. And reliable data tor desingning the construction of atomization device are provided.
