THE BLENDS OF POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE WITH POLYTATRAFLUOROETHYLENE
|
Abstract:
The crystalline morphologies of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) are affected bythe resin treatment, crystallinzation condition and processing. The texture ofpolytatrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and its thermodynamic properties are associated withwhether it has been sintered or not prior to be molded. There exists interfacial interactionbetween PPS and PTFE to some extent. Both PPS and PTFE can transfer to the oppositesurface at the interface region and as a result the surface energy varies. The presence of PPSexhibits a nucleation effect on the crystallization of PTFE while the presence of PTFEshows no accelerating effect on the crystallization of PPS.
