KARYOTYPE STUDIES OF NARCISSUS TAZETTA VAR.CHINENSIS
|
Abstract:
The results obtained from the present study are quite different from previous reports on the karyotype of Chinese sacred-lily (Narcissus tazetta vat. chinensis Roem). Among'a' chromosomes, form of one of the chromosomes is obviously different from the other two. Three g-chromosomes all have satellite at their short arm, but the form and size of S_3 are obviously different from S_1 and S_2. The authors suggest that Chinese sacred-lily is probably a segmental allotriploid.
