Cinnamomum (Lauraceae) Resources in Hubei Province,China

The genus Cinnamomum (Lauraceae) is the kind of highly important economic trees which has made the constructive species or dominant species of evergreen broad-leaved forest in the subtropics of China.Hubei is a province rich in the natural resources of Cinnamomum.Based on field collections and introductions carried out in the past 20 years,13 species and 2 varieties of Cinnamomum in Hubei have been identified which make up 28 8% of the total amount in China.The present paper mainly has a classification treatment to them and a complete investigation on the reserve distribution.A summary evaluation of Cinnamomum resources in Hubei Province is presented here in species and genus level.
