Research on Pseudogamy in Kentucky Bluegrass
草地早熟禾假受精现象的研究

A paraffin method and a whole ovary stain clearing techique were used to study pseu-dogamy in Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratenesis L. ). The results showed that the egg cell was divided and formed the young embryo when two polar nuclei were clearly observed. This type occupied 88% of the total. However, the polar nuclei might develop the normal endosperm as long as they had been fertilized.
