Recently, more and more knowledges about genetic backgrounds of plant nutrition have been acquired, especially about phosphorus (P) nutrition. Following the rapid development of molecular biology, researches on P have gone deep into molecular level and got more and more achievements. This paper summarized the advances on mapping of relative traits of P, gene expression induced by P deficiency, regulatory systems on P, P transportors and mutants with regard to P.
