DYNAMIC RESPONSE ANALYSIS ON UNDERGROUND EARTH STRUCTURES CONSIDERING TRAVELING WAVES

Abstract:
Based on the procedure for 2 D effective stress dynamic response analysis, a new method considering both the traveling waves and the stress difference is presented. Detailed analyses on the tunnel 1 # of Shanghai subway surrounded by clay and sand respectively is given as an example of the proposed method. In each case, different sections, different directions of traveling waves and different methods to calculate the shear stress are mainly considered. Through the calculation and analysis for different situation, the significant results are obtained.
