Characteristics and Mechanism of Deformation of High Rock Solpe of the Three Gorges Project Shiplock
|
Abstract:
The deformation monitoring results of high rock slope of the Three Gorges Project shiplock show that the deformation of rock mass which is identified as 3 different zones obviously is mainly caused by excavation and unloading of ground stress. The deformation of the fresh and slightly weathered rock mass is achieved by the opening of joints, which causes the cracking of surface concrete and shotcret. The range and process of the rock mass deformation are related to the geological conditions, blasting, and cable anchoring.
