STUDY OF FLOW IN FRACTURE NETWORK USING TOPOLOGICAL THEORY
|
Abstract:
A fracture network model based on algebraic topology theory has been developed to study fluid flow in the fracture dominant media. Using topology as a framework for the fracture system refers that the topological information is explicitly available and that it serves as the organizing factor in the data structure used in the representation. The solution for each branch is the analytical one so that high accurate solution for the whole network should be expected. Because the solution is not a hybrid one, there is no descretization in either time or space.
