FLAC ANALYSIS ON AFFECTING FACTORS TO ROCK BOLTING IN GATEROADS
|
Abstract:
The popular finite difference code FLAC3.3 is introduced. The influences of in situ stresses, beddings and joints, strength of surrounding rock on the deformation and damage of the rock surrounding gateroads are analyzed under the condition of a bolted maingate in Xinwen coal area. The numerical modeling results are compared with the measurement data in the field. It is pointed out that the distribution and mechanical properties of discontinuous planes are the most important factors to the deformation and rock bolt loads. FLAC3.3 is outstanding to solve geometric non linear and large strain problems.
