THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF SURROUNDING ROCK STRUCTURE IN LONGWALL SUB LEVEL CAVING MINING
|
Abstract:
The mechanical properties, structure characteristics and stability of surrounding rock in longwall sub level caving mining are studied by system stability theory. The influence of different stiffness combination of the immediate roof and top coal on the system stability, as well as working characteristics of support are discussed. A mechanical model of surrounding rock structure is proposed. The model can be used to well explain strata behaviours and provide a basis for support design and selection and strata control.
