APPLICATION OF REVISED FOSM METHOD TO ANALYSE THE STABILITY OF TUNNEL
|
Abstract:
The general failure criterion Coulomb Naviyer rule is used as the limit state equation. Taking into account the inner properties and the external stress field, the four main factors, which are the first stress, the third stress, internal friction angle and cohesion that influence the tunnel stability, are taken as the basic random variables. The revised FOSM method is used to calculate the failure probability and to analyse the tunnel stability. Up to now the reliability theory is seldom applied to tunnel stability analyses, so this method is a beneficial exploration in the field. Parallel approaches are used to analyse the tunnel stability, which indicates the revised FOSM method is better than others.
