RESULTS AND ANALYSIS OF IN SITU STRESS MEASUREMENT IN MEISHAN IRON MINE

Abstract:
In situ stress measurement in Meishan Iron Mine was completed with stress relief by overcoring technique and improved hollow inclusion strain cells. The magnitudes and directions of in situ stress at 8 points in 3 levels were obtained. By statistical analysis, the basic regularities of in situ stress distribution in the mine were concluded. The measuring results showed good agreement with the tectonic stress in the mine region.
