In this paper, the types of specific DNA probes from plant were briefly described, and some methods of constructing specific probes were introduced,mainly were the isolation and screening of specific DNA sequences. The applications of the specific probes in the germplasm and foreign chromosome identifications,the karyotype and genome analyses were also summarized and discussed.
