A Method for Aircraft Survivability Assessment

Abstract:
The quantification of aircraft survivability in modern battlefield environments is a complex mathematical problem. This paper describes a method for calculating aircraft probability of survival, which includes calculation of the probability of detection, the probability of hit and the probability of kill. The method for calculating the probability of detection is suitable even when some radar parameters of hostile are not available. The influence of aircraft radar cross section (RCS) on miss distance are considered in calculating the probability of hit
