Improved Quality Function Deployment (Ⅱ)-- A Systematic Approach

According to the principle of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), we have established a theoretical framework of improved quality function deployment(IQFD). The focus of this paper is on developing a systematic approach to realize the idea of IQFD. The improved house of quality (IHoQ) is proposed by defining the concepts of transition matrix, customer benchmarking matrix, and technical benchmarking matrix, which can not only realize the main idea of IQFD and utilize the AHP technique well, but also overcome the drawbacks in traditional HoQ.
