Comparison on String-Like Pulse Figure Parameters between Hypertension and Non-Hypertension Cases
|
Abstract:
This study was aimed to analyze pulse with time-domain analysis method in the comparison of string-like pulse figure parameters between hypertension and non-hypertension cases. The hemodynamics changes and formation mechanism between two kinds of string-like pulses were also initially inferred. The string-like pulse figure of 224 primary hypertension cases and 300 non-hypertension cases were collected and compared with the ZBOX-1 Pulse Condition Instrument. The time-domain parameters (h3/h1, h4/h1, w/t) were compared for hypertension string-like pulse and non-hypertension string-like pulse. The result showed that the h3/h1 value of string-like pulse of both hypertension and non-hypertension group is significantly higher than the healthy group (P<0.01); and the h3/h1 value of hypertension group is significantly higher than non-hypertension group (P<0.01); the h4/h1 value of hypertension group is significantly higher than non-hypertension and healthy groups (P<0.01); the w/t value of both hypertension and non-hypertension group are significantly higher than the healthy group ( P<0.01). It was concluded that the string-like pulse group of hypertension has high peripheral resistance, poor blood vessel elasticity and increased arterial tension. The string-like pulse group of non-hypertension has no significant changes in peripheral resistance. But the arterial compliance in non-hypertension group has been decreased. The main arteries are at high pressure and high tension status. Both of them have different blood dynamics basis.
