Effect on α-glycosidase by Extracts from Ramulus Mori

Abstract:
This study was aimed to evaluate the effect on α-glycosidase by extracts from Ramulus Mori.Extracts were obtained from Ramulus Mori with water,ethyl acetate and ethanol as solvent.Three kinds of extracts were used to test the influence on the activity of α-glycosidase while PNPG as the substrate.The water extract and ethanol extract of Ramulus Mori showed inhibition on α-glycosidase.When the concentration of extract is 30 μg·mL-1,the inhibition rate of water extract and ethanol extract of Ramulus Mori is 51% and 56%,respectively.On the contrary,ethyl acetate of Ramulus Mori showed activation on α-glycosidase.It was concluded that different extracts of Ramulus Mori have different effects on α-glycosidase.
