An Experimental Facility for Measuring Longitudinal and Shear Waves with Dual Magnetic Fields

Abstract:
An experimental device with dual magnetic fields used for measuring the longitudinal and shear particle velocity components in dynamic material tests is presented. The working of the device is based on Faraday electro magnetic law, and it can give the wave forms to be measured at multiple locations in real time. The device has solved the s wave measurement problem in pressure/shear gas gun experiments.Some preliminary experiment results are shown.
