The results and its social influence of the Symposium on the Strategy of Protecting and utilizing the Endangered Chinese Medicinal Resources, which was held during Oct. 18 -21, 2000 in kunming, China, are summarized in the paper. Some important work to be carried out in the near future are put forward in order to promote the protection, administration and reasonable utilization of the endangered Chinese medicinal resources.
