A Technique of Modal Frequency Identification by Radiated Sound Measurement

This paper presents a new method of modal analysis, that is, a modal frequency identification technique for a structure by radiated sound measuring. As the microphone does not get in touch with the measured body, it eliminates the effect of additional mass. At the same time, the method of the spectrum estimation by time seveis analysis is used to improve and obtain higher accuracy of response spectrum.
