Skin Friction Coefficients of Swimming Cloths

Abstract:
Local skin friction coefficients of several swimming cloths are measured by a two-component laser-Doppler velocimetric system in a comparative experiment.As the surface of cloths are very rough and flexiable,the skin friction has to be estimated from the layer with logarithmic velocity distribution.Results indicate that the differences between skin frictions of different cloths approach to 90% and the cloths made in Dalian with one-directional exansibility is the best for swimming dressing.
