Measuring J-resistance Curve and the Proof Value for Crack Initiation by Single Specimen

Based on the method using the "three curves" and unloadingcompliance, a new method is proposed for measuring J-resistance curve and the proof value for crack initiation of materials.Experiments on 1Cr1/2Mo, 16MnR and WCF62 steels with single specimen respectively show that the results of the new method are in agreement with those of the standard multi-specimen method.
