Trends in Effects of Enhanced UV-B Radiation on Plants in Recent Five Years
|
Abstract:
Trends in the effects of enhanced UV-B radiation on plants in recent five years were reviewed in this paper. The following is noteworthy: 1) studies on the effects of the enhanced UV-B radiation on individual plant have been gradually decreased in the mass; 2) researches on signal transduction induced by UV-B have gradually become the new emphases and hotpots; 3) researches on plant recovery and repair induced by UV-B injuring is still the hotspot, but more attention has been paid to the defense mechanism; 4) studies on the effects of UV-B radiation on plant were focused on the plant population and ecosystems; 5) combination effects of enhanced UV-B radiation with other factors will be the new research focus. It is concluded that the studies on effects of UV-B radiation on plants and ecosystems will be intensified; and signal transduction, molecular level mechanism and the combination effects of UV-B with other factors will be the new hotpots in the future.
