THE SIMULATION OF PARALLEL PROCESSING OF DEPTH FROM BINOCULAR DIFFREQUENCY
|
Abstract:
Our research on the analysis of random-dotted stereograms and psychophysical experiments on tilt effect has evidenced that the binocular diffrequency ratio is proportional to the disparity when which reflects the depth monotonously and linearly changed in the visual field Acconding to this fact and the results from recent neural physiological studies, a project of parallel processing of depth from binocular diffrequency was proposed. Three pairs of stereogram with wedge-like surface in different degrees of tilt were reconstructed by simulation of this parallel processing using IBM/AT micro-computer.A satisfactory simulation was obtained. The advantages of this parallel processing have been discussed.
