THE EFFECTS OF EMODIN ON ELECTRICAL AND CONTRACTIVE ACTIVITES OF THE SMOOTH MUSCLE CELLS IN GUINEA-PIG TAENIA COLI
|
Abstract:
The effects of emodin on the spontancous myogenic electrical and contractive activites ofthe smeoth muscle in gtlinea-pig taenia coil were studied by using the tension measuring tech techtwue and the inhacellular tincroelectrode teclnique . Emodin shortened the period of membrane po oscillation, and thereby the period of the bunts of spike potential ;correspondently, itincreased the frequency and amplitude index of the minute rhythm conduction. In addition, emodin prometal the occm of the cane Potential oscchtion, and thus the occurrence of the boots of spine potentals; it could also form the tetanus conception into theIninute rhythm contraction. The results indicated that din can strove the electricalexcitibility and conthechve function of the in tiosmooth m uscle Cells, and there end acorrelation the effects of ernodin on the eleCtrical and contiactive activings.
