Conocimiento y actitud sobre el climaterio en mujeres entre 40 y 50 a？os

objective: to determine the level of knowledge and kind of approach that a group of women between the ages of 40 to 50 have on the climaterium and its consequences. method: descriptive and transversal study on 75 women. the information was collected trough a survey divided into four parts: a socio demographic variable, a clinical variable, one about the climaterium level of knowledge and one about their approach to this period. results: most women know what menopause is and they recognize the benefits of hormonal therapy. they don？t know what climaterium is, and are unaware of risks inherent to hormonal therapy. more than 75 % of surveyed women have a highly positive attitude towards climaterium. conclusions: there is an insufficient level of information about the climaterium process with a very positive approach towards it.
