Médula anclada. Presentación de caso

a case presenting the diagnosis of tethered cord syndrome was assisted at "mario catarino rivas" hospital in the service of neurosurgery, san pedro sula, honduras-2009. a 22 year-old female patient with health records presented urinary retention of two years of natural history. tethered cord syndrome was diagnosed and the patient underwent a surgery with satisfactory results; this is a rare pathology in adults with only 60 cases reported at present.
